Quick Hits

My San Francisco presentation went very well if I do not say so myself.

www.jibjab.com Check out this land flash movie

Just got suckered into coaching Soccer again.

Move over Mike

This is a sad day in many respects for me I have a new favorite Baseball player. And for the first time my favorite player in the game is younger then my 34 years old. Mike Piazza has been my favorite player for the last 6 or 7 years he brought class and hope to my NY Mets and I will always have him number one on my list of all time favorite players.

But my favorite Met has changed. The player that will lead the Mets to the teams next championship and a player that already has the respect of the league. That player is 21 year old third baseman David Wright. For those of you that do not know the Mets history of third is an ugly misadventure. This is different he is Scott Rolen already and may develop into a Mike Schmidt type talent. His swing is pure and his d is improving so for me the David Wright era has begun. And it is time to turn the page. I think Wright will be my 5 year olds first real favorite player and well he is mine know as well.

Zambrano on the DL

The Mets are going to look so bad and make me look bad in the process.. They knew this guy was hurt and traded away a guy who is going to be in the majors next week. If he (Kazmir) pitches well it is all over. ONLY THE METS.

Forgetting Stuff

I'm sitting in my hotel room in San Francisco and I'm naked. Why? I am sick with a bad cold and forgot to pack my underwear. I am going to be presenting to 50 financial advisors in about three hours. They want to know about 401(k) providers so they have some ammunition when they go out in the world to prospect.

I have washed my underwear in the sink and am drying them with a blow dryer. This is too funny for me not to post. You would think after all the traveling I have done over the last 7 years it would be impossible for me to forget anything. Guess again. Am heading home tonight most likely on the Red Eye. I may have to head to a store and buy some traveling clothes for the way home. You know some cool shiny workout pants and a jacket.

Wish me luck.

How to Make a Patio????

I used a Jack Hammer today. Yes I used a Jack Hammer today. Actually I still feel like I am using the Jack Hammer. We are in the next stage of our renovation and we have decided that we can do a patio ourselves. The first steps in this is to get rid of a few tons of concrete. Yesterday I used the sledge hammers (plural as in more then one) and today went to Home Depot and rented the sledge hammer.

I've noticed that it is very easy to get hold of dangerous equipment with little or no training. Home Depot even said they could rent me a 3,000 pound excavation machine for just $138.00 a day. No one should rent these things to me.

I will post some pictures of the project at some point at this point it is pretty much just a mess. Wish us luck.

Zambrano

So far the Zambrano deal looks OK. He is 2 and 0 and pitched a great game today seven innings no earned runs and only 2 walks. He does have electric stuff.

Unfit for Command

It is a sad commentary that both of our Presidential candidates have potential issues with the truth. The book unfit for command shows Kerry as a runner and liar about his service to our Country. Is the Democratic Party that stupid that they did not check this stuff out before making it a huge issue in this campaign. The guy who wrote the book is the same guy that Kerry debated years ago on the Dick Cavette show. Now someone is lying either all those that said Kerry was a hero in the war or the other group that states he was a coward in the war.

So the big question is who is lying. I am not sure but it would of been so much easier if John Edwards would of won the nomination. or...... When you need a good southern democratic governor you can never find one?

Bunch of stuff

1. I am starting to feel more at home on the bike and can not wait to get good enough to give my wife a spin.

2. The Mets should of tried to trade Tom Glavine to the Red Sox for some minor league talent. Tom Glavine has pitched good enough to be an under 500 pitcher with the Mets. He is just not a NY Met and never will be a Met.

3. Did everyone hear Bush's verbal gaff the other day. To paraphrase. " The terrorists are always thinking about what bad things to do to this country and so is this administration." He really needs to go even Wall Street is letting him down with it's reaction to the Jobs report. We did not lose any jobs just less Jobs being created then expected and the market tanked.

4. I have not given any HTMABC updates recently due to the fact I do not know were to start. It does seem we have somehow caught multiple family personality with many of the siblings not on the same page about life etc. My parents refuse to take any responsibility for the situation except to say they have been in Florida to long before coming back to CT. To me it is a cop out but whatever.

5. Back to work. I would much rather be on vacation!
