Chip wins Acting Honors at Slamdance

For the first time in it's 11 year history Slamdance gave out performance award and Chip Godwin Co-writer of Plucking the lark received the kudos. Chip was at Slamdance with the Movie The Dry Spell in which he plays Jose Fargo a man to long without love.

This is a big win for Chip and as the other writer on PTL I am proud of his accomplishment. You can check out more information on the Movie at www.thedryspellmovie.com. For more information on Slamdance www.slamdance.com.

King of The Blues Posted by Hello

An Awesome Weekend of Gamblin, Boozin, the King of the Blues, and Carlos Beltran

Remember the first time you heard an electric guitar play the blues the raw emotion and power is unforgettable. My first experience with the Blues was through my brothers Johny Winter Album White Hot and blues. I still remember the funky cover. (Not like the Kiss destroyer album cover that scared me for years.)

Last night made me remember the power of this music of the Delta. B.B King played for me, well not just me at foxwoods last night and every note he played had meaning. He is the blues man. Sitting in his chair he told his story with his guitar Lucille. It was a great show that I will always cherish.

Now for the Gamblin, Lori won a 675.00 jackpot on the slot machines. I won 300 on the roulette wheel I hit 5 dollars on number 5 and 5 dollars on number 31 within 5 minutes. Did not have it in me to play cards which leads to... You guessed it the Boozin(sp).

The Boozin we got to the hotel an drank a nice bottle of vino. Then we drank scorpions during our Chinese food meal. When we got to BB King we both had mixed drinks and then out of some strange movie the couple in front of us bought us shots. After he bought the first round he tried to buy everyone another round but could only get two shots when his wife said she would not drink it he said as if he had known me for years give the shot to Tony. To be honest I have no Idea of the name of this couple but they do have a German Wirehaired pointer puppy. Good enough for me. After the second shot he bought us all ANOTHER ROUND. By this time we, Lori and I were a bit twisted.

My Brother and sister in law made this an even better evening though they did not stay over at Foxwoods. Why I do not know. But we paid for all our stuff food, room, tickets and still made a profit all in all a great weekend.

I am leaving out many good parts I leave those to your imaginations. I am so hung over and really can not drink like that anymore..... But I guess once in awhile is ok for old time sake.

To cap it all off the mets sign the best free agent on the market Carlos Beltran. This will go down in the history books as one of my best weekends ever it may even crack the top five. And Lori, I love our kids really I do.
